The Calafat Circuit

The Calafat circuit was built in 1974. It was designed by Jordi Xiol, financed by the company Calafat S.A. and a large group of motor enthusiasts.

The Calafat Circuit is located in the municipality of L’Ametlla de Mar, in the Calafat Urbanisation, 800 m from the sea. It is a large leisure and sports area specialising in motor sports, with a unique track, one of the most technical and physical in Spain. Approved by the Catalan Motorcycling and Motorsport Federation, it is able to host races at regional level, as well as functioning as a Training Camp for teams of professional drivers.

9 right-handers, 7 left-handers and a 600 m straight with a track width of 10 m., make for a winding and very entertaining 3,250 m. track, ideal for those who want to perfect their driving techniques during a circuit ride or a track day.

The Circuit de Calafat also offers theoretical and practical courses on Evasive Driving, Sports Driving and Efficient Driving. These courses are given by professionals, so that companies and motor enthusiasts can improve their driving control and efficiency, live a real Gt Experience, as well as practice drifting on the 770-metre-long, low-adhesion Sliding Track with a 227-metre straight.
